In late 1997 I began a five-month journey around the world.  My purpose was to prove that someone in a wheelchair could have a series of "normal" travel adventures.  These articles were originally published in the Wenatchee World newspaper.  The first article was written by World reporter Dee Riggs, to introduce the series.  The remaining articles were written by me on a laptop and downloaded with digital photos from various locations around the world.  I have also written a book-length manuscript of this journey, which presents some of my philosophy of life as well as personal observations while on the road.  If you want to buy the book, click on Circling the Earth in a Wheelchair
